Brendan is a professional actor, writer, and marriage celebrant. He has written for numerous publications in Newcastle, Sydney, and Melbourne, including Inzine, U-Turn, Drum Media, Mania, and PC Whiz, where he served as interim deputy editor in 2003. His writing has also appeared in overland and undergrowth, and from 2006-2008 he helped establish with Carl Nilsson-Polias the Melbourne-based online arts journal sparkonline. Most recently, his contributions have been published in Everguide and The Vine. His short play Babylon’s Children was part of the 2004 Short and Sweet Festival, while his first full length play, If it Bleeds: The Christine Chubbuck Story, debuted at Gasworks Arts Park in October of 2012. Brendan holds a Bachelor of Dramatic Art from the Victorian College of the Arts, and a Certificate in Media and Entertainment. He is presently completing a Masters of Communications through Griffith University. As an actor, he has performed in many well-regarded stage shows and short films and has featured in City Homicide , Neighbours, Saved, and Miss Phryne Fisher’s Murder Mysteries and Australia on Trial for the ABC.
